Cuyahoga CC Brock Begue selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 11th round

With the 343rd pick of the Major League Baseball entry draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected Cuyahoga Community College left handed pitcher Brock Begue. Begue, a 6-3, 210 pound sophomore from North Canton, OH lead the Triceratops to the NJCAA Region XII baseball tournament the last two seasons.

Begue appeared in 13 games this season with a 10-1 record and five complete games. In 67 innings, he allowed 36 hits, 21 runs, 12 of which were earned. Begue walked 28 batters, while striking out 130 and posting a 1.61 earned run average. He earned NJCAA Region XII Division II All-Region honors. As a freshman, he earned NJCAA Division II Third Team All-American honors. 

Begue becomes the 194th baseball player drafted out of Region XII and the 17th player drafted from Cuyahoga Community College. No other Region XII players were selected in the 40 round draft.
