Schoolcraft College men's basketball up to number three in NJCAA Division II poll

The Schoolcraft College men's basketball team moved up one spot to number three in the firs NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball poll of 2019. The Ocelots are 11-0 overall and 2-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They are 3-0 since the last poll beating Owens Community College, then fifth ranked Mott Community College and Macomb Community College. They are back in action tomorrow night when they host #9 - Delta College in Livonia, MI. 

Mott Community College dropped one spot to number six in the poll. The Bears are 13-1 overall and 1-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They 2-1 since the last poll beating Owens Community College and Wayne County Community College District and falling to then number four Schoolcraft College. They will host Henry Ford College on Wednesday in Flint, MI in their next game. 

Delta College dropped three spots to number nine in the poll. The Pioneers are 9-1 overall and 0-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They are 0-1 since the last poll after falling to Macomb Community College last week. They return action tomorrow night when the travel to Livonia, MI to face #3 - Schoolcraft College. 

St. Clair County Community College is ranked 13th in the poll again this week. The Skippers are 14-1 overall and 1-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They are 3-0 since the last poll on December 18th beating Lansing Community College, Lambton (ONT) College and Alpena Community College. They will host Oakland Community College on Wednesday for the next game. 

Lakeland Community College dropped into the other schools receiving votes category this week. The Lakers are 11-3 overall and 2-1 in the OCCAC, going 0-1 since they last poll. They lost to Niagara (NY) County Community College in their only game last week. They return to the hardwood Wednesday night when the face Bryant & Stratton College in a non-conference game. 

Cuyahoga Community College is in the other schools receiving votes category again this week. The Challengers are 11-4 overall and 3-0 in the OCCAC so far this season. Their only game since the last poll was a win over Lansing Community College. They return to action on Wednesday when the host Lorain County Community College in an OCCAC match up. 

Macomb Community College moved into the other schools receiving category this week. The Monarachs are 10-4 overall and 1-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They were 3-3 since the last poll, beating St. Clair (ONT) College, Select Prep of California and then number six Delta College. They lost to Division I #20 - New Mexico Junior College, #12 - Pima (AZ) Community College and then number four Schoolcraft College. They host Wayne County Community College District on Wednesday night for their next game.
