Schoolcraft College moves to two, Mott to nine in latest NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll

The undefeated Schoolcraft College men's basketball team moved up one spot to number two in this week's NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll. The Ocelots are 14-0 overall and 5-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. The Ocelots defeated both Wayne County Community College District and Henry Ford College last week. Their next game will be tonight in a MCCAA Eastern Conference first place showdown at #11 - St. Clair County Community College. 

Mott Community College moved up one spot this week to number nine. The Bears are 16-2 on the season and 4-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They went 2-0 last week beating Alpena Community College and Oakland Community College. They are off until Monday when they travel to Warren to face Macomb Community College. 

St. Clair County Community College also are up one spot this week to number 11. The Skippers are 18-1 overall and 5-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after beating Macomb Community College and then number 14 Delta College. Their next contest is tonight and it is a first place showdown with #2 - Schoolcraft College at the SC4 Fieldhouse. 

Cuyahoga Community College enters the top 20 this week at number 19. The new renamed Triceratops are 14-4 overall and 6-0 in the OCCAC. They beat Lakeland Community College and Columbus State Community College last week. They are hosting Bryant & Stratton College tonight for their next game. 

Edison State Community College moved into the top 20 as well. The Chargers are 14-3 overall and 3-2 in the OCCAC after beating Clark State Community College in overtime in their only game. They will return to the hardwood tonight when they host Owens Community College. 

Lakeland Community College remains in the other schools receiving votes category this week after going 1-1 last week. They beat Clark State Community College and then fell to Cuyahoga Community College last week. The Lakers, who are 13-4 overall and 3-2 in the OCCAC, are at Lorain County Community College tonight. 

Delta College fell into the other schools receiving votes category this week. The Pioneers are 10-4 overall and 1-4 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They lost to both Henry Ford College and then #12 - St. Clair County Community College. They are hosting Alpena Community Colllege tonight for their next game.
