Levi Butcher

Bio

Coach Butcher, of Kalamazoo, is in his first season coaching the women’s soccer program at KCC. He comes to the College with 12 years of youth club coaching experience, as well as 10 years in the high school game locally on both the boys’ and girls’ sides.

Butcher has playing and/or coaching experience at the NAIA and college club levels, and has been head boys’ and girls’ soccer coach at Otsego High School since 2014, where he was a two-time winner of Wolverine Conference Coach of the Year honors. Butcher also helped lead the girls’ soccer team at Gull Lake High School to back-to-back Michigan High School Athletic Association Division II state titles in 2013 and 2014.

A focus on player development, recruiting and communication will be hallmarks of the program under Coach Butcher. The draw of a two-year college is particularly interesting and exciting as it provides student athletes a jumping off point for both their academic journey as well as their playing career.
