Mott CC men's basketball cracks top five in first regular season NJCAA Division II poll

The Mott Community College men's basketball team is ranked fifth in the first regular season NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll. The Bears, who were ranked 12th in the pre-season poll, are 2-0 on the season after beating Kellogg Community College last week. The Bears will return to the court on Friday when they host Glen Oaks Community College. 

Schoolcraft College is ranked sixth in the poll. The Ocelots are 3-0 on the season after beating Jackson College and Edison State Community College last week. They will host Muskegon Community College on Saturday for their next game. 

Ancilla College is ranked 12th in the poll this week. The Chargers beat Grace College JV last week to improve to 2-0 on the season. They will back in action tonight when they travel to Angola, IN to face Trine University JV. 

St. Clair County Community College is tied for 19th in the rankings. The Skippers will see their first action of the 2019-20 campaign tonight at Kalamazoo Valley Community Colllege. 

Lansing Community College rounds out the Region XII teams in the poll. The Stars, who are 2-0 so far, are in the other schools receiving votes category. They beat Aquinas College JV and Olivet College JV last week and will play again on Thursday when they face Owens Community College.
