Columbus State rolls to NJCAA Region XII Division III Men's Basketball Championship

The Columbus State CC open the game on a 22-6 run and never look back to win the NJCAA Region XII Division III Men's Basketball Champions. The Cougars, who are 18-7 overall, defeating Hocking College 95-58 to advance to the NJCAA Division III Great Lakes District Championship game on February 29. They will host the game. 

Columbus State rolled to a 48-29 lead, and did just about the same in the second half outscoring the Hawks 47-29. Columbus State was lead by Elijah Bishop with 15 points, ten rebounds and three blocks, while N'Keeley Elmore had 20 points and six assists. Shawn Hawkins added 12 points and seven rebounds, Corey Baker chipped in ten points and three assists. 

Hocking was paced by Donovan Saine with 11 points and five rebounds, while Landon Sprigler added 11 points, four rebounds and three steals. Elias Revelle chipped in ten points and 12 rebounds. Hocking College ends the season with a 18-14 record. 

Columbus State will play either Rock Valley (IL) College or Madison (WI) College on Saturday, February 29.
