Two Wayne County Community College District and one Edison State Community College women's basketball players have been named to the NJCAA Women's Basketball 50 person All-Star Roster. In normal years, the three players would take part in the All-Star weekend event.

The Mid Michigan College women's basketball team defeated #19 - Muskegon Community College 71-58 on Saturday to win the NJCAA Division II Great Lakes District Women's Basketball Championship at Ford Fieldhouse. The Lakers used a 16-7 third quarter to put Muskegon away.

The 20th ranked Edison State Community College women's basketball team used a 25-20 third quarter to defeat #14 - Lakeland Community College by a score of 80-76 to claim the NJCAA Great Lakes South District Championship. With the win the Chargers (28-3) advance to the NJCAA Division II National Championship for the first time since 2007.
