Macomb women's basketball moves up to number eight in latest NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll

The Macomb Community College women's basketball team have jumped up six spots in this week's NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll. The Monarchs are 17-0 overall and 4-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They went 2-0 last week beating Delta College and Henry Ford College. They return to action tomorrow night when they hit the road to face Oakland Community College. 

Mid Michigan College is ranked tenth for the second straight week in the poll. The Lakers are 14-0 overall and 4-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference to start the week. They won their only game last week beating Kalamazoo Valley Community College. The Lakers next game is Wednesday night at Jackson College. 

Lakeland Community College is ranked 13th for the second straight week. The Lakers are 15-1 overall and 4-0 in the OCCAC. They beat Lorain County CC last week in their only action. They will return to action on Wednesday when they host Cuyahoga Community College. 

Mott Community College moves up two spot to number 18 in this week's poll. The Bears are 14-2 overall and 3-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference starting the week. They were 1-0 last week, defeating Henry Ford College. They are off until Saturday when they will be at Oakland Community College. 

Edison State Community College re-enters the rankings in the other schools receiving votes category. The Chargers are 15-2 overall and 4-0 in the OCCAC. They went 3-0 last week beating Hocking College, Cuyahoga Community College and Heidelberg University JV. They will host Owens Community College on Wednesday night. 

Oakland Community College is back in the poll in the other schools receiving votes this week. The Raiders are 12-2 overall and 2-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They were idle last week as their only scheduled game was postponed due to a snow storm. They will be back on the court on Wednesday with the host Macomb Community College. 

Jackson College enters the poll in the other schools receiving votes category. The Jets are 11-2 overall and 3-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They lost their only game last week to Muskegon Community College. They will be back on the hardwood on Wednesday when they host tenth ranked Mid Michigan College. 

Muskegon Community College enters the poll in the other schools receiving votes category this week. The Jayhawks entered the week 11-2 overall and 2-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They posted a 2-0 record last week by beating Jackson College and Lake Michigan College. They are at Kellogg Community College on Wednesday night.
