Macomb women's basketball moves up two spots to number five in this week's Division II poll

The Macomb Community College women's basketball team moves into the top five in the latest NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll at number five. The Monarchs are 21-0 overall and 8-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They were 2-0 last week defeating then number 17 - Mott Community College and Alpena Community College. Their next action comes on Wednesday night when they are in Port Huron to face their rival St. Clair County Community College. 

Lakeland Community College falls three spots this week to number 15 this week. The Lakers are 19-1 overall and 8-0 in the OCCAC. They beat Owens Community College and Edison State Community College last week to run their win streak to 18 games. Lakeland's next game is Wednesday when they travel to Fremont, OH to face Terra State Community College. 

Mott Community College fell one spot this week to number 18 in the poll. The Bears are 18-3 overall and 7-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They were 2-1 last week, losing to then number seven Macomb CC, before beating Schoolcraft College and Delta College last week. They are back on the court on Wednesday when they travel to Dearborn, MI to face Henry Ford College. 

Mid Michigan College drops four spots this week to number 19. The Lakers are 18-2 overall and 8-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They went 2-1 last week defeating Ancilla College and Lansing Community College before falling to Muskegon Community College. Mid Michigan will play at Grand Rapids Community College on Wednesday night for their next contest. 

Muskegon Community College enters the poll at number 20 this week. The Jayhawks are 16-3 overall and 8-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They went 3-0 last week beating Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Glen Oaks Community College and then #15 - Mid Michigan College. They host Lansing Community College on Wednesday for their next game. 

Edison State Community College remains in the other schools receiving votes category again this week. The Chargers are 18-3 overall and 7-1 in the OCCAC so far this season. They went 1-1 last week, beating Sinclair Community College and falling to the #12 - Lakeland Community College. They will host rival Clark State Community College on Wednesday for their next contest.
