Owens CC volleyball team ranked number one in first regular season poll
The Owens Community College women's volleyball team is ranked number on if the first NJCAA Division III regular season Division III volleyball poll. The Express are 11-1 overall and 1-0 in the OCCAC. The Express went 7-1 last week, including 6-1 in their own tournament last weekend. Their only loss was to Division II number 15 - Glen Oaks Community College. They return to action tonight when they host Lakeland Community College.
Columbus State Community College jumped up three spots to number three in the poll. The Cougars, who are 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the OCCAC, were sixth in the pre-season poll. They went 5-0 last week, including 4-0 at the Owens Express Invitational. They return to the court tonight when the host Edison State Community College.
Lorain County Community College breaks into the top ten this week at number seven, after being in the other schools receiving votes category in the pre-season polls. The Commodores are 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the OCCAC after going 2-3 last week, including a win over then number seven Jamestown Community College. They return to action tonight, when the travel to face the newest member of Region XII Terra State Community College.
