The top ranked Owens Community College swept Jefferson (NY) Community College last night to advance to the NJCAA Division III women's volleyball semi-finals. The Express won 25-15, 25-16, 25-19 over the tenth ranked Cannoners.
Owens, 41-4, were led by Tryiana Settles with 16 kills, seven digs and two blocks, while Kayla Bekeir had nine kills and eight digs. Rebecca Brown had 33 set assists and seven digs and Arielle Snider had six kills.
The Express will play Brookhaven College tonight at 6 PM EST in the NJCAA Division III volleyball National Tournament semi-finals.
