USTFCCCA Week One Coaches’ Polls Released

The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its Week One Coaches' Polls on Wednesday (Sept. 20) and several Region 12 teams found their way into the rankings following strong starts to the 2023 campaign. Here's a look at where our region members landed in this week's rankings.

Men's Cross Country – Division II (USTFCCCA Poll)

Perennial power Lansing Community College leads a cast of five region teams in the Top 25 of the USTFCCCA Week One Coaches' Poll at No. 2 nationally. St. Clair County Community College checks in at No. 8 while Southwestern Michigan College rounds out the teams in the Top 10 at No. 10. Grand Rapids Community College is tied for 14th nationally and Macomb Community College is 19th.

Men's Cross Country – Division III (USTFCCCA Poll)

Two region teams appear in the Top 10 of the USTFCCCA NJCAA Division III Week One Coaches' Poll as Kellogg Community College moved into the rankings at No. 9 and Lorain County Community College shifted down one spot to No. 10.

Women's Cross Country – Division II (USTFCCCA Poll)

Lansing Community College is the top region team in the week one poll at No. 8 while Southwestern Michigan College and St. Clair County Community College follow closely in 10th and 11th, respectively. Muskegon Community College was tabbed No. 15 nationally while Mott Community College was just outside of the Top 25 in the receiving votes section.

Women's Cross Country – Division III (USTFCCCA Poll)

Only one region team is in the Top 10 of the NJCAA Division III USTFCCCA Week One Coaches' Poll – No. 7 Kellogg Community College.
