Owens and Lorain County to Meet for Region 12 D3 Men’s Basketball Title Saturday

The 2023-24 Region XII Division III Championship will be decided Saturday (Feb. 24) when the Express of Owens Community College host the Lorain County Community College Commodores. Tip-off is slated for 12 p.m. at the Student Health and Activities Center (SHAC) on Owens' Perrysburg campus.
Saturday's title tilt will be the "rubber match" in this year's series as the Commodores and Express split their regular season meetings with each team winning at home. The Express won the first meeting of the season, a 69-59 decision in Perrysburg back on Dec. 13. The Commodores evened the season series with an 86-83 home win over the Express on Feb. 14.

The winner of Saturday's Region XII Championship will move on to the Great Lakes District Championship against the Region IV Champion on March 2. The winner of the Great Lakes District title punches their ticket to the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball National Championship March 13-16 in Herkimer, NY.
