Ocelots Emerge as Region 12 Men’s Soccer Champions Once Again

MARYSVILLE, Mich. – The sixth-ranked Ocelots of Schoolcraft College entered the Region 12 Men's Soccer Tournament as the top seed and emerged as the victor following a pair of hard-fought matches. The Ocelots erased early deficits in each game on their way to defeating Cuyahoga Community College by a 3-2 margin in the semifinals and No. 17 Grand Rapids in the title game by a 3-1 final tally.

Schoolcraft's Dante Davidson earned Tournament MVP honors after back-to-back two goal games, including the game-winning tally against Cuyahoga and the game-winning goal against Grand Rapids. Rick Larson, longtime Schoolcraft head coach, was named Region 12 Men's Soccer Coach of the Year.

With the Region 12 title win, the No. 6 Ocelots will host the Northeast District Championship this Saturday (Nov. 4) at 12 p.m. against Mercer County Community College. The winner of Saturday's Northeast District title tilt will punch their ticket to the NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer National Championship.
