Bio

As a resident of Flint, Anderson competed for Fenton High School in his prep days. Anderson graduated from the University of Michigan and competed for Mott in a continuing education year in 2013, successfully winning an individual NJCAA region XII championship during that time.  In his post-collegiate days, Anderson has run numerous competitive road races, including multiple top 4 finishes at the Detroit Free PressMarathon, a top 10 and multiple top 5 Michigan Men Crim 10 miler finishes, multiple top 10 finishes at the Around the Bay Road Race in Hamilton, Ontario, and a 20th place overall finish at the 2018 Boston Marathon.  

Anderson assumed the head coach role at his alma-mater of Fenton in 2015, which he fulfilled through 2019. During his tenure at Fenton,Anderson' XC programs amassed 3 MHSAA Regional Championships, 8 Metro League Championships and 11 Individual All-State performances.  Anderson brings an energetic passion for Flint running to the Mott program and is looking forward to continuing the strong tradition of the Mott XC program
