Battle Creek is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan, in northwest Calhoun County, at the confluence of the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek rivers. Nicknamed "Cereal City", it is best known as the home of WK Kellogg Co and the founding city of Post Consumer Brands.

When championship golf needs a place to play in Michigan, it frequently books tee times at Gull Lake View’s Bedford Valley course. This 18-hole, classically designed masterpiece was conceived by William Mitchell in 1965, and purchased by the Scott family in 1988. A favorite of golf purists for its shot value and challenging layout, the “Big Course” as it is locally known boasts sweeping greens, mammoth bunkers and fairways lined with majestic oak trees.
