Muskegon men's basketball moves up four spots to number 11 in latest poll

The Muskegon Community College men's basketball team has moved up four spots this week to number 11 in the latest NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll. The Jayhawks are 19-4 overall and 14-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They have locked up a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes West District Championship the first week in March. They were 2-0 last week beating Jackson College and Lake Michigan College. They will be back on the hardwood on Wednesday when they host Kellogg Community College. 

Schoolcraft College falls five spots to number 14 in the poll. The Ocelots are 22-3 and 10-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They have clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes East District Championship in March. They went 1-1 last week, losing to Wayne County Community College District and beating Delta College. They will be back in action on Wedensday when they host Alpena Community College. 

Lakeland Community College cracks the top 20 at number 19 this week. The Lakers are 18-6 overall and 8-1 in the OCCAC. They went 2-0 last week beating Clark State Community College and Bryant & Stratton College. They will be back on the court on when they travel to face Cuyahoga Community College. 

Ancilla College is in the other schools receiving votes category this week. The Chargers are 17-5 overall and 11-3 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They have clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes West District Championship in March. They went 2-0 last week beating Grand Rapids Community College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Their next game is Wednesday at Lake Michigan College. 

Mott Community College spends another week in the other schools receiving votes category. The Bears are 21-6 overall and 9-4 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after defeating Alpena Community College last night. The Bears went 1-1 last week, losing to St. Clair County Community College and defeating Alpena Community College on Saturday. They will be back on the hardwood when they host Oakland Community College on Saturday.
