Muskegon CC men's basketball moves up to number nine in the latest NJCAA Division II poll

The Muskegon Community College men's basketball team has cracked the top ten in this week's NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll at number nine. The Jayhawks are 22-4 overall and 17-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference after beating Kalamazoo Valley Community College last night. They were 2-0 last week Kellogg Community College and Grand Rapids Community College last week. They have clinched the MCCAA Western Conference Championship and will be the number one seed in the NJCAA Great Lakes District West Championship. The Jayhawks will also host the MCCAA Men's Basketaball Championship on Saturday against number ten Schoolcraft College. They will close out the regular season on Wednesday when the travel to face Glen Oaks Community College. 

Schoolcraft College moved up four spots to number ten in this week's poll. The Ocelots are 25-3 overall and 13-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after beating Oakland Community College last night. They went 2-0 last week beating Alpena Community College and St. Clair County CC. The Ocelots have clinched the MCCAA Eastern Conference title and the number one seed in the NJCAA Great Lakes East District next week. They will play in the MCCAA Men's Basketball Championship Game on Saturday at Muskegon Community College at 3 PM against the tenth ranked Jayhawks. They will close out the regular season on Wednesday when the host number 18 Mott Community College. 

Mott Community College re-enters the poll at number 18 the week. The Bears are 22-7 overall and 10-5 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after falling to Macomb Community College last night. They went 2-0 last week defeating Alpena CC and Oakland Community College. The Bears have clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes East District Championship next week. They will close out the regular season when they travel to face number ten Schoolcraft College on Wednesday night. 

Cuyahoga Community College enters the poll in the other school receiving votes category this week. They are 19-8 overall and 8-3 in the OCCAC. They were 2-0 last week beating then number 19 - Lakeland Community College and Edison State Community College. They will close out the regular season on Saturday at Clark State Community College.
