Lorain County Sweeps Region 12 Division III Cross Country Championships

WOMEN'S RESULTS / MEN'S RESULTS

BYRON CENTER, Mich. – Lorain County Community College made it back-to-back women's titles and the fifth in a row on the men's side after sweeping the NJCAA Region 12 Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on Friday (Oct. 27) at Douglas Walker Park in Bryon Center, Mich.

The Commodores narrowly topped Kellogg Community College in both races and had the top Division III individual medalist in both races. Matthew Bowman was the individual medalist on the men's side, finishing 10th overall including DII competition, and was followed by teammate Michael Couture in second and Kellogg's Zachary Piercy in third. All three runners were named to the NJCAA Region 12 Division III All-Region Team following the race.

In the women's race, the Commodores' Madison Palmer was the individual medalist in Division III and finished fifth overall in the race. Follow Commodore, Isabella Morales, finished third, while Kellogg's Brenna Withers wedged in between the runners to finish second in Division III. All three runners were named to the NJCAA Region 12 Division III All-Region Team.
