Macomb CC ranked fourth for the second straight NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll

The undefeated Macomb Community College women's basketball team is ranked fourth again this week. The Monarchs are 25-0 overall and 12-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They have clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes East District Tournament in March. They were 2-0 last week beating, Delta College and Henry Ford College last week. They will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Oakland Community College. 

Lakeland Community College remained ranked 14th again this week. The Lakers are 22-1 overall and 9-0 in the OCCAC. They went 1-0 last week beating Bryant & Stratton College. They are back on the court on Wednesday at Cuyahoga Community College. 

Mott Community College is ranked 17th again this week. The Bears are 23-3 overall and 12-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after beating Alpena Community College last night. They went 2-0 last week beating St. Clair County Community College and Alpena CC. They will be back on the hardwood on Saturday when the host Oakland CC. They have also locked up a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes East District Tournament. 

Muskegon Community College is at number 18 again this week. the Jayhawks are 20-3 overall and 12-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They have clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes West District Tournament in March. They went 2-0 last week, defeating Jackson College and Lake Michigan College last week. They are back in action on Wedensday when they host Kellogg Community College. 

Mid Michigan College is spending their second week at number 19 in the poll. The Lakers are 22-2 overall and 12-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They have clinched a berth in the NJCAA Great Lakes West District Tournament hosted by Grand Rapids Community College in March.  They went 2-0 last week beating Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Kellogg CC. They will be back on the court on Wednesday when they host Jackson College. 

Edison State Community College spends another week in the other schools receiving votes category. The Chargers are 23-3 overall and 9-1 in the OCCAC. Their three losses have come to #14 - Lakeland Community College and two to number 17 Mott Community College. They went 2-0 last week, beating Columbus State Community College and Bryant & Stratton College. They will back in action on Wednesday when they host Ohio Christian University JV.
